How to cross a road in Iran

step 1. Walk.

That's it. At first this was terrifying. You have to suspend all self preservation instincts and reverence for your own life and hand over the respect for your life to the drivers instead (who incidentally have no respect for lanes or speed limits or any other annoying rules). So you find a spot and just slowly yet confidently walk across the road. That's it. they may almost imperceptibly slowdown, or more often than not just detour around you. It's like the parting of the red sea. And once you get used to it it seems very efficient. i might wrote a letter to Boris and suggest it for London
